My name is Michele Kirk.  I formerly worked with the State's Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Land Use Regulation (Division) for 6 years processing permit applications pursuant to the Coastal Area Facility Review Act (CAFRA), Waterfront Development Law, Flood Hazard Area Control Act, Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act, and the Wetlands Act of 1970.  As a part of reviewing applications for the Division, I have worked with the general public as well as environmental consulting firms, engineers, surveyors and attorneys offering guidance and assistance with regards to the Land Use Regulation Rules.

After 6 years of working with the State and processing hundreds of Waterfront Development and CAFRA applications I realized that I would best serve the public interest from the private sector.  Therefore, I have formulated my own company, Shoreland Environmental Consulting, LLC to pursue my goal.

Working with State Regulations at the Division for the last six years is a valuable resource, which will help me to assist the private sector through the State's application process.  I not only know the procedures for applying for permits, but I have integral working knowledge of the Land Use Regulation Rules, and I know what is necessary to submit a complete application, which will in turn be processed by the State in a more timely manner.

Thank you and I look forward to working with you.
